Member of Project Management Team


Reports to: Director of Project Management
Status: Full Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000 based upon experience and qualifications

We are seeking an experienced program manager to join the Project Management team in our Frederick, MD office. The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-starter who is able to manage multiple, complex relationships, and who understand how to manage multiple clients and projects across strategy, creative, and development.


The program manager will collaborate with our internal teams to ensure seamless planning and execution of our clients’ strategic marketing programs. This person will create SOWs, manage internally toward client goals, and serve as a principal contact for clients throughout the marketing program lifecycle.


  • Manages projects from initial concept through final implementation
  • Maintains project budgets, schedules, scope, quality and risks
  • Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously
  • Works independently and meets aggressive deadlines
  • Identifies and tracks project issues, resoles where possible or escalates to higher management when needed
  • Evaluates deliverables prepared by team to ensure work meets specifications and maintains a high level of quality
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings in order to provide project updates and information
  • Estimates projects and develop corresponding timelines
  • Performs with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustaining a positive attitude with those you interact with
  • Works in a diverse organization with many stakeholders
  • Responsible for the consistent successful facilitation of projects from estimation through launch and ongoing execution
  • Monitors overarching client/project budgets and schedules weekly
  • Actively and thoroughly understand clients and their needs
  • Take full accountability for project work
  • Proactively collects and manages all project details
  • Keeps projects on-track, on-budget and on-time
  • Work closely with the Finance team on the monthly close process including program actualizations and revenue tracking
  • Other duties, as assigned

Highest Level Tasks

Client Development/Business Development

  • Updates Revenue Projections Workbook monthly with accurate booked, pending and potential work for existing clients
  • Participates in New Client Download and Client Intro meetings


  • Finalizes project budgets
  • Allocates approved internal and external resources for projects within Workamajig

Ongoing Planning and Reporting

  • Generates monthly, quarterly and annual reports and populates Macro-Marketing Plan Workbook
  • Participates in quarterly and annual reporting meetings with internal team and clients
  • Scopes and estimates tactics for next year plan

Program Execution

  • Provides change order documentation, including timeline and
    budget revisions
  • Notifies internal team if client deliverables/milestones may
    not be met
  • Communicates with client about project execution and details

Client Relations

  • Provides back up client communication when Client Services is unavailable

Program Administration

  • Works with Client Services to resolve any out of scope or over budget vendor related work
  • Participates in billing/revenue recognition meetings


Our ideal candidate has:

  • Worked in an agency environment either traditional or digital or an internal creative services team
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects concurrently
  • Managed and worked with cross-functional teams (creative, strategy, technical, media)
  • Superior problem soling, time management and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Experience tracking all budget-related information, including billable hours and project expenses
  • Been responsible for the financial success of their projects
  • Excellent client facing skills including outstanding verbal and written communication skills


  • Four (4) year college degree or equivalent
  • PMP Certification is desired but not required
  • 5-10 years of project management experience as a Program Manager or Project Manager in an advertising/marketing agency or a corporate internal creative services team environment
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant digital project management
